Overview
Enterprise Data Warehouse engineering, Informatica PowerCenter platform installation and development on AIX, Bash-based ETL monitoring and recovery, and Teradata data loading performance optimization.
01 / ETL platform
Informatica PowerCenter — Installation & Configuration
- Installed and configured Informatica PowerCenter on an IBM AIX server.
- Set up and configured PowerCenter Repository Service and PowerCenter Integration Service.
- Prepared the platform for enterprise ETL development and execution.
ETL Development & Data Marts
- Designed and organized data mart structures against business customer technical specifications.
- Developed Informatica mappings, sessions, workflows and reusable worklets.
- Configured scheduled ETL execution using Informatica scheduling and Unix cron jobs.
Bash Scripting — Monitoring & Automated Recovery
- Extended ETL operation beyond built-in Informatica functionality using custom Bash scripts.
- Built shell-based monitoring to check workflow execution and loaded data volumes.
- Automated workflow restarts after failures or when loaded data volumes did not meet expected thresholds.
- Investigated unsuccessful or incomplete batch loads.
02 / Data warehouse
Teradata — Data Warehouse Integration
- Worked with Teradata as the enterprise Data Warehouse; developed SQL queries using Teradata-specific syntax.
- Configured and optimized Informatica PowerCenter-to-Teradata loading workflows.
- Supported table refresh and bulk-loading scenarios, including clearing target tables before reload.
- Measured and analyzed extraction and loading throughput and tuned ETL pipeline performance.
- Validated loading results and investigated data consistency issues.
Technology Focus
- Informatica PowerCenter 9.5.1, Repository Service, Integration Service, mappings, sessions, workflows, worklets, Bash, cron, data marts, Teradata DWH, SQL, bulk loads and performance tuning.
Teradata was used as a Data Warehouse; this role did not include Teradata database administration or direct TPT operator configuration. Oracle BI is listed as part of the technology landscape; its detailed responsibilities have not yet been provided.
