Full delivery lifecycle
Worked from business requirements and technical specifications through solution analysis, workflow design, BI/ETL platform setup, implementation, testing, pre-production releases, production deployment, verification, troubleshooting and operational support.
Oracle Business Intelligence
Developed and maintained OBIEE RPD repository changes across Physical, Business Model and Mapping (BMM), and Presentation layers. Deployed repository changes between environments. Installed and configured Oracle BI in clustered setups, supported load balancing, high availability, roles, groups and privileges.
ETL — IBM InfoSphere DataStage
Designed sequential and parallel jobs and monitored ETL processing and warehouse loads. Investigated inconsistencies using Oracle SQL Developer and SQL queries, supported reloads and authorized corrections.
BI Publisher and WebLogic
Supported a Java web reporting application backed by Oracle BI Publisher running on WebLogic, configured data sources, permissions and groups, and supported Active Directory integration for authentication.
Bamboo, Artifactory and Kubernetes
Created Bamboo deployment plans, linked tasks to scripts, configured variables and customized deployment runs. Monitored individual steps via Deployment History, downloaded execution logs and troubleshot errors. Used Artifactory image repositories in releases; managed pods, manifest YAML and Secrets and investigated failing workloads in Mirantis Kubernetes Engine.
Linux and application operations
Used SSH on Red Hat Enterprise Linux servers for application diagnostics, process and daemon checks, shell scripts, cron scheduling and recovery/restarts of application services.
Monitoring, reliability and SRE-related work
Monitored and troubleshot applications with Genius, Splunk, Prometheus, Grafana and AppDynamics. Managed incidents and investigated recurring problems, participated in disaster recovery and failover tests, and supported the operational reliability of production applications.
Change management and documentation
Coordinated developer changes into pre-production and production under change-management processes. Maintained Confluence documentation, application runbooks, operating guides and knowledge transfer materials.
