Enterprise ETL and BI platform engineering: Informatica PowerCenter 8.6.1 monitoring and recovery automation, SAP BusinessObjects installation and Universe development, and administration of a legacy Oracle BI deployment.

Informatica PowerCenter 8.6.1 — ETL Operations

• Supported and optimized ETL processing on an existing Informatica PowerCenter 8.6.1 installation.
• Used Workflow Monitor to track ETL execution and investigate failures.
• Analyzed slow or interrupted data loads and Oracle connectivity or network-related issues.
• Developed shell scripts to restart failed workflows and automate recovery from transient connectivity failures.

SAP BusinessObjects — Installation & Configuration

• Installed and configured the SAP BusinessObjects BI platform.
• Configured connectivity to enterprise databases, including Oracle Data Warehouse.
• Configured SMTP-based delivery of reporting output.

Universe Designer — Semantic Layer

• Designed and maintained BusinessObjects Universes connected to Oracle Data Warehouse.
• Added tables and views; defined joins between sources.
• Created Classes and Objects, including Dimensions, Measures and Details.
• Configured filters, contexts and aliases to resolve ambiguous table relationships.
• Exported Universes to the BusinessObjects repository for reporting in Web Intelligence.

Reporting, Scheduling & Email Delivery

• Created and configured BI reports using BusinessObjects reporting tools.
• Supported scheduled report generation and automated email delivery through SMTP.
• Troubleshot reporting and report-delivery issues.

Central Management Console — Security & Server Administration

• Administered SAP BusinessObjects through Central Management Console (CMC).
• Created and managed user accounts and groups; configured roles and access permissions.
• Maintained access rights to reports, Universes and BI resources.
• Administered server-side components and investigated operational issues.

Oracle Business Intelligence — Legacy Platform

• Installed and configured an older Oracle BI platform that did not use the WebLogic-based architecture of later versions.
• Configured user access and permissions.
• Managed metadata migrations and repository changes between application environments.
• Worked with BI developers to deploy releases and troubleshoot deployment issues.
